The long awaited luxurious Beijing cuisine eatery MR CHOW opened its eighth restaurant in the prestigious Masaryk Avenue in Polanco, heart of vibrant Mexico City. MR CHOW and Grupo Hunan finally found the perfect accomplice to share the same philosophy of luxury and lifestyle and create the world finest dining experience.
Gourmets in Mexico City will enjoy all the excitement and entertainment while tasting fantastic dishes from one of the best cuisines in the world, under the signature of MR CHOW and the excellency of Grupo Hunan.
In a historic house intervened by Cuaik Arquitectos, with a large terrace, a bar and two dining rooms, MR CHOW will display with glamour the art of performance without sparing any detail. With the intention of preserving its original architecture, Cuaik Arquitectos intervened the house covering it with a steel structure with glass creating a contrast of two facades reflecting inspiration and simplicity.
The legendary MR CHOW, known for mixing fine dining with a self-described “raucous” atmosphere, was founded in London in 1968 with top chefs serving authentic Beijing cuisine and with creative original recipes such as Chicken Satay and Ma Mignon. MR CHOW has since expanded to the USA opening the Beverly Hills location in 1974, then New York where the first location opened in 1978 on 57th Street and the second location in New York TriBeCa in 2006. Then opened at the W Hotel in Miami Beach in the summer of 2009 and celebrated its second California location in 2012 at the Malibu Country Mart. Las Vegas opened in Caesars Palace last December 2015 and Mexico City in October 2016. For over 45 years, clients enjoy watching the nightly Handmade Noodle Show at all of the locations and on the menu is one of the best prepared Beijing Ducks in the world.
